This week we head southwest Wayne County to the Village of Waltz (near I-275 and Will Carleton Road area) to the Waltz Inn.
This village is where it seems that everyone “lives just down the road”. Walking in to the Inn you instantly feel like you have been there before (ha ha! Actually, yes we have!). You are greeted by several people from the waitress to the bartender. Ahh, we feel like we are at home with wood parquet floors and wood paneling. Even the owner is walking around talking with her “old” friends.

Another Side of the Court (9/2013)
( 2 Votes )Athletes: celebrities of the sporting world. This category revolves around soccer players, hockey players, and, of course, basketball players. They’re agile, all powerful, and suave. Approachable, and yet unapproachable. Like us, but then again, not like us. The very mention of these terms links us to the mental image of celebrity powerhouses; for example, with “soccer leagues,” we see David Beckham; and in hockey, our thoughts automatically go to Wayne Gretzky. But with the mention of the National Basketball League, our minds become flooded of Michael Jordan, squeaky shoes, basketballs, as well as an unmentioned two dimensional perception often associated with athletes. Contrary to this belief, Windsor Express’ Power Forward, Greg Surmacz, is a well-rounded individual and, actually, not that out of bounds for public understanding.
